or JOSE, is a simplified ordering system built on the Government Purchase Card program.
AFICA/KU in partnership with the 409th Contracting Support Brigade, established the Joint Office Supply Europe (JOSE) program to leverage the buying power and improve the office supply ordering process. The program utilizes Blanket Purchase Agreements with reputable office supply vendors to make ordering supplies simple and quick. After registering with the vendors and ordering discounted supplies online, the items are delivered directly to the customer’s door within 3 business days. Further, no VAT forms are required to obtain the tax free price.
Since the program was established in August of 2016, the Air Force and Army have garnered nearly $1M in savings. As a result, the JOSE program is considered the preferred method for obtaining office supplies in Europe. While this program is not mandatory, as the preferred method, it should be used to purchase office supplies unless a source is found that provides equal or better value. A memorandum to the GPC transaction log, with a copy to the AFICA program office, must be completed when JOSE is bypassed for another source. We are sending this memorandum directly to all contracting organizations, centers, offices and GPC holders within the AFICA and 409th CSB areas of responsibility (AOR).
